Cranny Cranston Beach Bluefish Tournament
The Cranny Cranston Beach Bluefish Tournament saw a huge turnout of 30
teams. The fishing was lousy and so was the weather. This did not deter
the team of Ralph Hardy and Wayne Cunningham from winning with a total
of 43.2 points. Wayne also had the biggest Bluefish weighing 9 # 6.0 oz.
2nd went to the team of Mickey Beamish and Jimmy Buffet, no it couldn’t
be. He had a total of 40.36 points, and 3rd went to the team of Tre Wullschleger
and Matt Lamb with a total of 34.8.

Oct 1 & 2, 2005
The turnout was small with only 8 teams. 1st place went to the team
of Shirley Smith and Kelly West ( points – 226.4), 2nd went to Mary
Adams & Julie Reinemo ( 221.4 points ), and 3rd went to Sue Asplint
& Ellie Huyser ( 218.6 points)

The Wiggins’ family took top ranks with the winning team of Ken
Sr. and Maggie Wiggin with a total score of 29.5 pts.
Second went to Ken Jr. and Sam Wiggin with a score of 26 pts., and third
went to Kathy and Ellie Wiggin with a total score of 26 pts.

One Day Pickerel Tournament - 2005
The one-day Pickerel Tournament saw 28 entrants and 5 juniors. The weather
and the lack of fish biting didn’t stop the die hards that ended
up landing a few pesky Pickerel.
Top honors were a tie with Mike O’Neil catching a 1 # 8 oz. and
also a 1 # 5 oz. totaling 22.5 points, and Chad Whitlock caught one weighing
2 # 13. oz. totaling 22.5 points. Third place went to Ken Wiggin with
a 16.9 total score. Kathy Wiggin and Carol Crowell were the only other
anglers managing to catch any fish.
