The annual East vs. West Tournament was held on June 19 & 20, 2010 with the Nantucket Anglers’ Club coming out the victors. Congratulations!
The annual Lema Machado Scholarship Auction Dinner was held on June 26th with another great attendance and raised lots of money for the kids. Thanks to all. |

Poor Man’s Dinner saw a lower turnout than usual; I hope some weren’t so broke after taxes that they couldn’t afford $1.00 for dinner.
The Pickerel Tournament was the first tournament of the year and saw a good turnout. 1st went to Jenn Decker with 61.3 points, 2nd- Phil Albertson with 46.9, and 3rd went to Mark Scharwenka with 45.8 points. Juniors were – 1st – Jacob Addison w/ 19.6 pts, and Derek Moore w/ 19.1 pts.
The Adult/Child Perch Tournament also had a good turnout with 1st going to Jeff Lema & Cullen Larrabee (58.8 pts.), 2nd to Logan & Bill Larrabee (53.8 pts.) and 3rd to Phil Albertson & Gradyn Higgins
(48.2 pts.). Nice job to all who fished! |

St. Patrick’s Day was another great success thanks to the crew of Ray Owen, Mike Misurelli, Roy Barrett, Nonie Slavitz, Sharon Lamb, Gale Valero & Brenda Johnson.
The Wine Tasting was another good one with a sellout crowd. Thanks to Kristina Jelleme for running it and Jarrod Stolgitis for helping in the kitchen. I think we got some good feedback for future purchases. |

The Superbowl was a very intimate gathering but the Chinese New Year was well attended. Trivia Night saw 3 teams with the winners being Jeremy Slavitz, Bob Cranston & Steve Lamb.
Feb. 28th was the deadline for dues payments. If you have not paid, your membership has been terminated, and you will have to reapply if you would like a membership.
The Board has set a new Check policy. If a check is returned to the Club, there will be a $25.00 fee per check, and the member will not be served at the bar until the check and the fee are paid. After a second time, the club will no longer accept checks from said member. |
